It does not matter if the jackpot is much lower in the preceding draw or even if it has just been won; the €130 million (approximately £110 million) is guaranteed as the money comes from the EuroMillions Reserve Fund.

There is a chance the jackpot could even be higher than €130 million on the night, if it has naturally surpassed the advertised figure as a result of rollovers. That is exactly what happened on 4th October, when a €100 million Superdraw was not required as the jackpot was already at its maximum €190 million.

Superdraw Scheduled As Changes Arrive

The Superdraw will follow hot on the heels of changes being made to EuroMillions on 1st February. From the start of the month, the jackpot cap will increase from €190 million to €200 million, paving the way for a new record to be set for the biggest ever EuroMillions jackpot. It is even possible that the upcoming Superdraw could help to propel the jackpot up to €200 million for the first time.

Other changes will also see the jackpot grow more quickly. The percentage of the prize fund allocated to each of the 13 tiers will be recalculated from February, with more money going to the jackpot every draw. Other prize categories will receive a lower portion to compensate for the bigger jackpots. Check out all the changes coming to EuroMillions.

More Superdraws can also be expected every year as part of the changes. While on average there have only been two a year since 2017, there are set to be three in 2020 to give players even more big events to look forward to.

The changes will help to make this year even more exciting for players in all nine participating countries, following on from a remarkable 2019 which featured six jackpot wins in excess of €100 million. Take part online for your chance to become a winner!
